It’s been a busy summer of trail clearing, July through to September. We put 370 volunteer hours into clearing the Batchelor Mayne Edwards Lake Loop. It’s a wonderful hiking and ski touring loop for day trippers. The club purchased a mower and it’s been really helpful and a big time saver.
Trails and cabins are maintained by volunteers and the firewood is hauled and split by volunteers and helicoptered in to the cabins at great expense. Please do not waste wood, just keep the cabins at a comfortable temperature. Your cabin fees ensure that we can keep doing the work we do.
These Beautiful trails rely on participation, young & old, a few hours or days here and there throughout the year. Thank you!

If you are new to the term 'Loppet' it is a Scandinavian term for long-distance endurance race, or cross-country skiing event. The Sunshine Coast Loppet will have various race distances and age groups. Come out and join in the fun.
